Christian Aid Week in Wells
Christian Aid Week in Wells.
14th – 20th May. This year’s focus country is Malawi. The Pigeon Pea project enables women to plant more of this crop that has deeper roots and is therefore more sustainable. Empowering them to educate their children and often grandchildren in their care.
The recent Typhoon Freddy has washed away crops. Over 500,000 people have been displaced and hundreds have lost their lives. Christian Aid works in Malawi through its local partners not only for emergencies like Freddy but also long term.
